About the Founder

Chanika Hurt-Barber, Founder of All Things Fabulous, LLC is the Wife to US Veteran Deatrice Barber and Mother to 3 beautiful kids. 2 girls Talai and Taliyah and 1 boy

Deatrice, Jr. 

She has been a stay-at-home wife for the past 15 years, while taking on roles here and there to stay up on work ethics, discipline, and her drive for success.  She received her Pharmacy Technician's Certification in 2010 soley for the purpose of educational value and making better choices for her family. Accomplishing many accolades such as being published in the International Library of Poetry, she values family as her most prized possession.  She initially placed her focus on becoming an RN but realized her passion was taking her elsewhere.  

In 2020, Chanika and Talai created a creative bond where she encouraged her daughter to practice a craft and become better at it.  While resin is where it started it ultimately had to change directions a few years after launching.

Chanika became pregnant with their third child and had to place resin on hold due to fumes and chemicals.  After having her beautiful baby girl, Taliyah, she found herself deep in postpartum depression. It is then she found her true passion, tranquility and resolve in prayer and making candles. It helped with her journey through postpartum depression; from the scent and peace she received from creating each candle and flame.

Taking online classes to understand the workings of candle making, different wax scents and effects on the limbic system, she rebranded into a candle business, All Things Fabulous which later relaunched into Truth Candle CO. in 2026. 

As one of the top market/pop up shop sellers of candles in her city,  she aims to spread the awareness of finding your strength in stillness, purpose through scent and encouragement in the glow of a flame.
